The Institute of Peace Economy Studies Zambia is inviting applications from suitably experienced and innovative individuals for the position of Social Media and Marketing Consultant on a part-time, short-term contractual basis.

Main Purpose of the Assignment

The Consultant will be responsible for establishing and strengthening the Institute’s media and digital presence through strategic branding, social media management, content development, and marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing visibility, engagement, and institutional outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a social media and digital marketing strategy for the Institute.
• Establish and manage the Institute’s presence across key social media platforms.
• Create professional and engaging content including graphics, flyers, captions, short videos, and institutional updates.
• Promote the Institute’s programmes, trainings, events, publications, and partnerships.
• Grow audience engagement and online visibility.
• Design promotional and branding materials where necessary.
• Support media relations and publicity activities.
• Produce periodic performance and engagement reports.

Experience and Skills

• Demonstrable experience in social media management and digital branding.
• Strong graphic design and content creation skills.
• Proficiency in social media tools and marketing applications.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Creativity, innovation, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Added Advantage:

• Experience working with academic, research, consultancy, diplomatic, governance, or non-profit institutions.
• Knowledge of website management and digital campaigns.
